Adding an emotion to your goal can make your balance deeper and more impactful. Here’s how:

This is going to vary between modalities. In Touch for Health you may use a 5 Element colour balance or bring in the aspects of the 5 Elements, in GEMS you would identify the emotional stress through your scan sheets, and in SIPS your emotion points will become ‘active’. No matter how your preferred modality approaches emotions, it is important to remember that they can cause stress to the body, and there are numerous ways you can add them to your balances. If you do not have a preferred method, feel free to just muscle test, “is there an emotion related to this?” when you identify an issue, and see what happens. Testing for ‘aspects’ (as in the above method) can provide deeper understanding of the emotion and its connection to the rest of the session.

Note that the Emotional Stress Release (ESR) points are taught in several different courses. These are used as a correction by themselves, or as part of a protocol for balancing emotions and can be a very useful tool.
