Richard D. Utt, L.Ac (Applied Physiology) developed holographic testing. Each muscle has a strong, primary relationship with a specific Meridian, and this is tested in the standard Muscle Response Testing (MRT), but the muscle also has a secondary connection with all the other meridians, all these connections are tested through the whole range of its motion. According to the Holographic model developed by Utt, There are seven positions in which the muscle can be tested, and the muscle can be tested going towards contraction or extension, so this gives tests relating to each of the 14 meridians used in kinesiology and in traditional Chinese 5 Elements Theory (Richard Utt developed the 7 Elements Theory).
