Marco Rado hails from the scenic town of Bergamo, in the Lombardy region of Italy. With a background in physiotherapy, Marco began his kinesiology journey 28 years ago, utilising many modalities, in particular, Applied Physiology, that has studied in the USA and Germany. With a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine and manual therapies such as osteopathy and fascial manipulation, Marco has broadened his studies in these areas to increase his knowledge and skills. In 2003, he began writing his own courses, integrating western science and traditional eastern medicine.Marco is a respected international course author and trainer, integrating scientific concepts and theories with traditional energetic philosophies. He teaches in many European countries (Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary and Ireland) but also all over the world (Russia, Ukraine, Australia and South Africa). While he still teaches Applied Physiology, he also has created 12 workshops and 2 webinars, that goes under the name of Integrative Physiology. He had been the Vice President of the International Association of Specialized Kinesiologists (IASK) and Board Member of the Italian Association of Specialized Kinesiology (AKSI). Marco, together with his wife Monica, has founded his 4 years long professional school “Physis – International Institute of Kinesiology” where he teaches Applied Physiology and all his own classes. He’s also co-author of the first App about Kinesiology, called Knowlative – Cooperative Knowledge. He has a dense schedule of classes taught in english in different countries and several webinars. You can check the schedule of his 2020 classes at the following link: www.apkinesiologia.com/en/schedule/

WORKSHOPS

– BASICS OF LIFE – 4 daysThis is usually the class that I start with in a new country. In this class I talk about the concept of energy and energy medicine, combining physics with healing, trying to understand wich kind of energy do we stimulate with Kinesiology and Meridians. I spend a lot of time describing the Extra Cellular Matrix (also called The Living Matrix), the place in the body where the Nervous System, the Immune System and the Endocrine System interacts. The goal of this class is to have the the student understand the basic energetic patterns in human beings, described by Traditional Chinese Medicine, but through a scientific language. The basic energies, that controls our birth and life are the 8 Extraordinary Meridians. I teach how to test and balance them, not only with a Kinesiological approch, but also using a technique called Unwinding that belongs to Craniosacral Therapy. Students loves it because it brings them to work on a different level of interaction with the client. I teach this class since 2004 and I’ve tought it in several countries, and students loves it. You can also buy the manual of this class from Equilibrium, the Australian website.

– PHYSIOLOGY OF THE LIVING SYSTEMS – 4 daysTo take this class is better to have had done Basics of Life. Starting from the point of view of Embriology, I describe the 12 Meridians and their physiological functions, combining academic Physiology and Energetic Physiology. Other than common Physiological Systems, like the Central Nervous, the Immune or Endocrine, I describe also, let’s say, integrated physiological Systems like the Enteric Nervous System, the GALT (Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue), the Craniosacral System, the Chronobiological System, the Gastroenteropacreatic System and so on. I introduce a completely different point of view of understanding the synergies and interactions of the meridians. Instead of talking about the 5 Elements, I talk about the 6 Energy Levels and their relationship with embriology. This class is about going deep into Physiology and corrections are acupuncture points, colored Lights, sound, unwinding.

– SPINE PHYSIOLOGY – 5 daysI have studied Osteopathy and in this class I teach classical osteopathic knowledge applied in a kinesiological way. Through muscle test we asses and balance the spinal column, working on vertebras, ligaments, muscles (64 related to the 64 I Ching), meningies, reciprocal tension membranes and central aponeurotic axis. This is a very structural class.

– CONNECTIVOLOGY – 4 daysIn this class we work on the Connective Tissue and Fascias through the Tendino-Muscular Meridians (called also Sinew Meridians) to do a Somato-Emotional work. We will work on the concept of Ground Regulation, with the muscle chains, the Fascias and Skin. We balance the body to release Stresses of past traumas using also a technique called Subconcious Trauma Release. This is both a structural and an emotional work.

– TCM ENERGETIC SYNDROMS – 3 daysThis classical knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and how to describe pathologies. We use muscle test instead of tongue and pulses. We balance with Neurolimphatics, Neurovasculars, acupuncture points, supplements and diet.

– PHYSIOLOGY OF STRESS – 4 daysWhat is exactly Stress? How does the body react to Stress? How many different types of Stress do exists? This class will give a clear answer to all this questions and much more. In Kinesiology and in many others approaches, Stress has a key role, and it is fundamental to know exactly how the body reacts to the different stressors. Each stage of Stress represents a completely different set of physiological reactions. It’s the terrain of the person, with specific neurological, endocrine, immune and emotional reactions. In this class I teach how to access and balance the 3 different Stages of Stress, recognize if it’s an Acute, or Episodic or Chronic Stress; discern if there is a priority imbalance on the nervous system, endocrine system or immune system; identify the emotional aspects related and which is the main Stressor. This is a pure exemple of why my work is called Integrative Physiology!!

– INTEGRATIVE NEUROGASTROENTEROLOGY 1 – 4 daysThis class focuses on what people calls the Second Brain and the Gut-Brain Axis. I teach how Intestinal disorders can cause learning disabilities or depression, and why this is common in all cronic diseases. I also talk about Dysbiosis and Leaky Gut Syndrome and we will balance them starting from the prospective of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A lot of time will be dedicated to the concepts of Microbiota one of the hottest topics in Biology and Medicine. I also focus on Gluten/Casein sensitivity. This is a great complementary work for those that work on the brain and brain dysfunctions.

– INTEGRATIVE NEUROGASTROENTEROLOGY 2 – 4 daysIn this Second part we get more into the functional aspects of the guts, balancing in detail the Enteric Nervous System, the gastrointestinal motility, the immune aspect of the guts and the production of hormones and neurotransmitters by the guts. Marco will also talk about constipation and diarrhea and will give very effective points to work on this conditions. then we will see the relationship between the gut’s microbiota and the vaginal and prostatic microbiota.

– INTEGRATIVE NEUROGASTROENTEROLOGY 3 – 4 daysThis part is dedicated to the Second Brain as site of our unconscious emotions. We will balance our believe system, to change the way we process the informations we percive with our senses. This is a very deep emotional work.

– INTEGRATIVE NEUROCARDIOLOGY – 4 daysThis class is about the so called Third Brain. The Heart has an intrinsic nervous system, sufficently complex, to be qualified as a complete Brain, it produces the strongest Electromagnetic Field in the body and it secrets hormones and neurotransmitters. According to TCM all the functions that we asigne to the Brain are associated to an energy called Shen, that sits in the Heart. The Heart rules the Brain! A lot of time will be dedicated to the THIRD BRAIN as the Emotional Brain; the student will learn how the body handles the emotional aspects through the TCM’s meaning of Organ’s Spirits (Shen, Yi, Po, Zhi, Hun), and analyzing which are the emotions that imbalances the THIRD BRAIN and which one improves its functions. The goal is to repair all the old wounds of genetical and genealogical emotional memories stored in the heart that impede the development of the own qualities. The goal of this class is to find and improve our qualities.

– INTEGRATIVE NEUROCARDIOLOGY & THE DIVERGENT MERIDIANS – 4 daysThis is a workshop that deals with the Heart-Brain Axis, seen from the Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), point of view.  All the Organs/Meridians are connected directly with the Heart Meridian (that in TCM is considered the Master of all Meridians), through a set of Secondary Meridians. This Secondary Meridians goes from each organ, to the Heart and from the Heart to the Brain. We we will work on this Body-Heart-Brain Relationship in different ways, combining Sound, Colored Lights, Acupressure, Essential Oils and Korean Hand Acupuncture. We will Explore the Type of Energy called Wei Qi and it’s relationship with emotions, immune System and Autoimmune disorders. Through this technique it’s possible to balance very deep and intense emotions, as well as very chronic and severe pathologies.

– INNER ALCHEMY – 4 daysAlchemy is the secret knowledge of the Middle Ages, that comes from ancient Egypt and has spread out in all ancient cultures. In this class, I integrate the wester Alchemy with the Chinese Inner Alchemy, that is the base of Qi Gung and Taoism. This will offer us many opportunities to work on physical and emotional imbalances, on a very very deep level of the self, working on the Hereditary Energy (Yuan Qi) and on the constitutional imbalances (Jing). I will introduce the concept of the 3 Dantien, the equivalent of the 7 Chakras of the indian tradition; the 4 Elements: Sky, Fire, Water and Earth; the 7 Phases of alchemic Transformation, the Extraordinary Organs, the Platonic Solids and the Taoistic Microorbit.

– THE 5 PILLARS – Webinar – 2 daysIn Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are 5 very important muscles called the 5 Pillars, that control our posture and coordinate the 3 Cavities. In Kinesiology we base our work on the Muscle-Organ relationship and there is an organ for each Meridian. Nevertheless, in TCM there are some organs that are not associated with any of the 12 Meridians, yet they are so important and special, that they are called “The Extraordinary Organs” and are strictly related to “The Extraordinary Meridians”.One of these Extraordinary Organs is “The Extraordinary Organ Bones”, which generates the 3 Cavities – Abdomen, Thorax and Head. There is a strict relationship between the 3 Cavities, the Triple Heater and the 3 Dan Tiens and balancing the 5 Pillars can influence the whole of this structure. In this webinar, you will learn how to muscle test the 5 Pillars and how to balance them with Acupressure Points and Sound; you will study how TCM approaches Posture, and you will learn which are the most important Meridians that control muscle movement and muscle contraction. This webinar will not be only theoretical, but there will also be demonstrations and practice time.

– INTRODUCTION TO TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE FOR KINESIOLOGISTS – This is a set of several hours of online videos, where Marco teaches a complete training in TCM, where he uses a very thorough, but easy-to-learn, explanation of basic – intermediate and advanced informations, always integrating ancient knowledge, with modern science. Because in almost all Marco’s classes, he refers a lot to many TCM information, this videos are a perfect introduction to all the other classes. They are not a mandatory prerequisite, but they can simplify your understanding of Marco’s work.
