Scope/Utility

Sometimes, when the person activates several times a muscle that is balanced in the clear, the muscle weakens. Suspect this unbalance when all other factors are balanced and the posture is still unbalanced.
This unbalance is different than Repeated muscle testing (Aerobic and Anaerobic) for several reasons:

  • the unbalance does not shows when the muscle is tested repeatedly but only when the person activates it without resistance;
  • The weakness is not eliminated when Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex (NL) or Neuro-Vascular Reflex (NV) are therapy localized (see Therapy Localization/Location (TL));
  • The repeated muscle activation tends to unbalance many muscles, not only the first located;
  • Often the muscles compensates with a contraction: the posture is affected in a way that is the opposite of the normal weak muscle and is bent toward the affected muscles and not in the opposite way.

This technique was first described by [[Goodheart]]. An early finding by [[Goodheart]] was that often there is an hypertonic antagonist of a normally testing muscles that weakens when one of the 5 factors of IVF is therapy localized.

Procedure and balance
  1. Ask the person to activate the muscle  10-15 times and then test it: if it becomes hypotonic it is unbalanced.
  2. Balance the muscle with [[OItechnique]] with strong stimulation.
  3. Retest: it should not weaken after repeated voluntary activation.
  4. Test again the same muscle after repeated activation a remote muscle group (e.g.: wrist extensors): if it weakens again it indicates a systemic problem. [[Goodheart]] suspected that this is related to an impaired synthesis of Acetylcholine. Test if Vitamin E (or, in some cases, Vitamin B) eliminates the weakening on repeated muscle activation.
